You are cordially invited to attend a Small & Minority-owned Business institutional partners meeting on March 23, 2011 to discuss the state of the small business economy in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The Baker Administration and County Council recently inquired of us “what is the state of the small business economy” in the County.  I could only respond with empirical data from our experience with individuals who have sought financing assistance from FSC First; but recognized there are a plethora of resources available to insure the strategic growth and sustainability of small businesses in our community.

Time:          8:30 AM – 12 Noon (Full Breakfast served promptly at 8:30)

Where:       Radisson Hotel, Largo, MD

The purpose of the meeting is to identify the similarities and differences between the programs and resources available so that we may foster collaboration between our respective organizations.  As a result, we will be able to accurately reflect where there might be opportunities to develop new programs and services, or refine, expand existing programs and services.  In addition, we need to identify emerging growth industries and anticipate the future needs of the small business community (e.g. increased capacity to improve access to new markets, financing, teaming and joint venture, franchising, procurement opportunities, etc.)
